THARUNA ARUNA II – Graduate Placement Program – Establishment of Regional Centres The FCCISL and some of it’s Regional Chambers have been appointed by the Ministry of Skills Development, Vocational and Technical Education to function as regional centres in the respective Provinces. Accordingly nine organizations have been appointed as the regional centres of Tharuna Aruna II graduate placement program as detailed attached.
The primary goal of the program is to re-orient unemployed graduates’ career aspirations towards the private sector and equip them with skills they require to be more employable in the private sector.
The purpose of this circular is to officially inform you of the appointment of selected member bodies of FCCISL as regional centres of Tharuna Aruna II Program and also to request all member chambers to kindly inform their respective memberships Companies/ Enterprises can now obtained all services relating to graduate placement in the private sector under Tharuna Aruna II Program through above Regional Centres.
- When your organization registers with the Tharuna Aruna II Program , you could specify the No.& the characteristics of the Tharuna Aruna II Graduates that you require .You could specify criteria such as field of study, gender and area of residence.
- Tharuna Aruna II Program will then automatically search the database and find matches for your employment requirement. You then follow your own interview process and select the best candidate/s.
- The selected graduate should be issued a letter of appointment as the prevailing labour laws of the country indicating a probation period of 6 months and a minimum remuneration of Rs.6000/- per month. The Tharuna Aruna II Program will reimburse a sum of Rs. 4000/- per month per graduate towards remuneration during the first 12 months.
- During the probation period you have the opportunity of training & moulding the graduate to suit the requirements of your company. The program allocated Rs.35,000/-to each graduate to follow appropriate training programs accredited by Tharuna Aruna II Program with the consent of the employer.
